Partnering with the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf to provide conference attendees with a premier mobile ordering experience
At the Airport Revenue News (ARN) Conference in Dallas, TX, airports, concessionaires and brands met to share their businesses and discuss the future of airport commerce. Over all of the free food and drinks, networking, and speaker presentations, two companies created a buzz among the attendees.
Thanks to some last minute quick thinking, we partnered up with the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CBTL) to provide mobile coffee ordering through the Grab app for all of the conference attendees. With only hours left until the conference opening reception, the Grab team kicked it into gear and created a full, in-app restaurant and menu for the CBTL booth in the exhibit hall. Thanks to our easy-to-use restaurant tablets, the baristas at CBTL picked up how to handle mobile orders in no time at all (it helps that they are pretty smart guys who know how to make some seriously good coffee).
Good thing they are pros at whipping up a quick cappuccino, because at the start of Day 2 over 50 orders were placed at the CBTL booth through the Grab app in less than an hour. Conference-goers who tried the technology expressed their surprise at how easy the ordering process was and how well it worked.
“My delicious tea was ready and in my hand in record time!” wrote Ashley White, one of the customers who tried the app.
The baristas at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf were equally impressed and happy with the technology’s ease of use on the restaurant side.
