Competing for the Tech.Co Startup of the Year Award
Interactive week at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, TX is one of the largest yearly gatherings of the worldwide tech community. This year, Grab is building on the buzz we created at the ARN Conference last week as we compete for the Tech.Co Startup of the Year award.
Each year, Tech.Co hosts a pitch competition and selects some of the hottest up and coming startups to show their stuff. Grab is competing against 27 other startups to be named startup of the year.
Why should we win the award? We’ll answer your question with another question. How often are you in a hurry when you’re in the airport? Every time. How many times have you run out of time and settled for a bag of peanuts when what you really wanted was a delicious burger with bacon on top? Every time. (Because who doesn’t love bacon?)
We’re here to solve that, and while you’re at Austin Bergstrom International Airport to attend SXSW, you can use the Grab app to order food from your phone and avoid the line when you pick up your meal. So even if you’re in a hurry, you’ll still have time to order a delicious chopped brisket sandwich from the Salt Lick, some chips and queso from Maudie’s Tex-Mex, or if you’re not feeling food, a steaming latte from Austin Java.
